Equestrian Team success at the Inter-school Horse Trials

Following on from their recent success at the Victorian Inter-school State Equestrian Championships (where with only seven riders, the team placed 11th out of 130 schools!) the BGS Equestrian Team won the school teams event at the Tintern Inter-school Horse Trials last weekend.

The Equestrian Club Co-ordinator Jodie Lyne said the team should be so proud as every rider’s amazing effort contributed to the final winning score. This included…

  • Conar winning the 50cm height on her horse Milo
  • Abby coming second in the 95cm height on her horse Porsche (Teasing to Please)
  • Heather coming seventh in the 65cm height on her horse Boots

and

  • All New team Conar and Milo had great success with a third in combined training and a great Cross-Country round to take the overall win in their first competition outing together.

The Balcombe Grammar School community congratulates the BGS Equestrian Team on their outstanding performances and ongoing commitment to their sport, we are sure it makes all the early mornings, travel and hard work worthwhile.
