Peak performances on the slopes

Further to our Snowsports team success at the recent Victorian Interschools, we are delighted to share the wonderful results from the Australian Championships held at Mount Buller over the weekend.

Year 2 student, Saxon competed admirably in the Division 6 Alpine Giant Slalom with only a 10 second gap to the winner, Saxon ranked 32 out of 62 competitors from across Australia, an amazing achievement.

Year 7 student, Cole competed in three Division 3 Snowboard finals, achieving 8th place in Slopestyle, 4th place in Giant Slalom and an incredible 2nd place in Snowboard Cross, taking home the silver medal!

In only the third year of involvement for Balcombe Grammar at this competition, students have excelled in the recent State and Nationals. We congratulate them on their incredible performances and thank all the families involved in Snowsports as it is certainly a team effort with parents filling team manager and volunteer roles throughout the competition.
