Premier’s VCE Awards

We are delighted to announce that Year 12 student, Celeste Mezey was recognised this week at the prestigious VCE Premier’s Awards. The awards are presented to the highest achievers in the state. 

In most VCE Subjects, there are one or two award winners, and Celeste is the first Balcombe Grammar School student to achieve this rare accolade. Her achievement came in the subject of Hungarian, which was taught through the Victorian School of Languages by her much-loved teacher Agnes Körlaki.

Celeste received her award at the presentation ceremony held on 2 July at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, where more than 1,000 guests celebrated the top-performing 2024 VCE students including the Premier, Deputy Premier, Governor and Minister for Education.
