R U OK? Day

Thursday 12 September 2019 is R U OK? Day.

R U OK? Day is a National day of action dedicated to reminding everyone to ask, “Are you OK?” and to remember every day of the year to support people who may be struggling with life’s ups and downs.

This year in the build-up to R U OK? Day we’re encouraging everyone to Trust the Signs, Trust your Gut & Ask R U OK?

We want everyone to feel confident they know the signs someone might need support by listening to what they’re saying, seeing what they’re doing or knowing what’s going on in their life. Whenever you notice a change, no matter how small, we want you to trust your gut and  start an R U OK? conversation.

Faith and Wellbeing classes across Middle and Senior Secondary School will be addressing this topic over the coming weeks.  This will be supported by the sharing of a short film made by Year 9 students, Isabelle Raymond, Levi Stern, Noah Musso and Jack Carter, created for their Year 9 Program; Making a Difference, around this topic.

Year 10 students are also donating any leftover funds from their Year 10 Social Night to the R U OK? Foundation.

Please remember to seek help if you are concerned about yourself or someone else.
