Balcombe Grammar School congratulates Year 11 student, Gracie Larsen, on her selection in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) U18 Golf Team representing Victoria at the National Championships.
Gracie was chosen for the State team after finishing in the top six of the 18 hole SSV U18 qualifying event recently held in the Yarra Valley.
Competing at both State and National Championships requires many hours of training. For many years Gracie has been dedicated to her sport and her routine now includes practice three times a week, State training every Sunday and working with a coach at Kingston Heath 2-3 times a month. She is currently playing a +2 handicap and her aim is to play golf for a college in the United States once she completes her VCE.
We wish Gracie all the best for the championships to be held on the Bellarine Peninsula from Sunday 21 August to Friday 26 August.
