Balcombe Grammar School congratulates Year 4 student, Kai Gilbert, who recently competed in several state swimming championships.

At the State Short Course Championships in September, Kai competed in the 11 year old 100m individual medley, 50m freestyle and 100m backstroke.

In the State Sprint Championships held last weekend, Kai competed in the 11 year old 50m backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly.

Kai has also qualified to compete in the Victorian Age Championships long course to be held in December at MSAC in the 11 year old 200m individual medley.

Mum, Rachael Gilbert said “this is an enormous achievement for a 9 year old” and they are immensely proud of Kai’s continued hard work and commitment.
