Visual artists shine at the SIS Awards

On Tuesday 11 November at Cube 37 Gallery in the Frankston Arts Centre, Balcombe Grammar proudly showcased the incredible talent of our visual art students at the Southern Independent Schools (SIS) Art, Media, Technology and Design Awards.

This annual exhibition showcases outstanding student work from up to 17 secondary schools across South East Melbourne.

We are pleased to announce that our 2025 Award Winners are:

• Sophie Nicholls, Unit 3/4 Art – 1st Prize Art Award 
• Bella Gartrell, Unit 1/2 Art – Artist Recognition Award
• Nina Flanagan, Unit 3/4 Art – 1st Prize Ceramics Award
• William Ensil, Unit 1/2 Art – Special Mention Award
• Lilly Dunkley, Unit 3/4 Art – Special Mention Award
• Jasmine Burnett, Unit 3/4 Visual Communication and Design – Special Mention Award

A special thank you to Debbie Mackenzie, the event judge and renowned Mornington Peninsula artist, for her inspiring presence and support of young creatives.

Congratulations to our talented students for their outstanding achievements and for representing Balcombe Grammar with creativity and passion.
