Youth Voice in Parliament Week (21-24 November 2022)

25.11.2022

Year 9 Balcombe Grammar School student, Taj Carver, recently entered the Youth Voices to Parliament writing competition and we are pleased to announce that his speech has been successfully chosen by Federal Member for Flinders, Zoe McKenzie MP to be read in parliament this week.

Taj focused his speech on Section 44 of the constitution that prohibits dual nationals from holding political office in Australia. He raised many interesting and heartfelt points including his desire to enter politics one day and make our country better.

We congratulate Taj on his submission and thank the 2022 Raise our Voice in Parliament campaign for providing an opportunity for young people to raise the issues that matter most to them.
