- it is the student’s responsibility to inform their music teacher directly giving 48 hours notice if they are unable to attend a lesson due to classroom activities, sports or any other official school function
- lessons cannot be made up if insufficient notice is given
- students taking holidays in term time will not receive catch up lessons or refunds
- in the case of sudden illness the music teacher is to be informed directly in an email before 8:30am of the day, otherwise the lesson will be charged for. Do not use the school absentee phone line or email.
- Once tuition has begun for a term, the student will be enrolled for 8 lessons to be completed throughout the term. Families will not receive a refund for cancellations mid-way through school terms.
- Once enrolled, students will remain enrolled until the conclusion of the school year. If a student would like to cease lessons, an email will be required to MusicAdmin@balcombegrammar.vic.edu.au Lessons will cease at the conclusion of that school term.
At Balcombe Grammar, there are several ensembles that students can participate in to supplement their learning. Students are highly encouraged to participate in an ensemble if enrolled in instrumental music lessons at the school.
If the student is attending Balcombe Grammar School in 2025 as a year 7, they have the opportunity to enrol in a year’s worth of FREE instrumental group lessons for Concert Band Instruments (Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, and Percussion). Places per instrument are strictly limited. To be eligible for this offer, students MUST attend a weekly rehearsal and two concert performances.
I agree to have the fees for tuition as outlined in this document charged to my School account, together with relevant music book charges.
