Enrolment

The Next Step

Balcombe Grammar School, located in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula, is a co-educational school from Foundation to Year 12.

The main intake years for new students are Foundation (50 positions), Year 7 (54 positions) and Year 10 (approximately 6 positions). Vacancies are offered at other year levels when a current student leaves.  Parents are advised to apply as early as possible as initial offers of places for Foundation, Year 7 and Year 10 are offered in line with our enrolment policy.

Along with reviewing the School Prospectus, parents wishing to enrol their child/ren may also choose to join one of the upcoming school tours or open days. During this time, families are encouraged to assess how the school’s values and philosophies align with their own aspirations.

At anytime (before OR after a school tour) families are welcome to complete an ‘Expression of Interest’ form (please note: attending a school tour is not a pre-requisite for submitting an EOI) and return it to the School with the appropriate administration fee. A letter and receipt will be forwarded to you and your child/ren will be placed on our waiting list.

You may also receive an invitation for you and your child/ren to attend a meeting with School staff. Please note that this invitation is no guarantee of a position at the School. The meeting is to familiarise our staff with your child/ren’s needs and provide information about our programs.

If a place is available, a letter of offer will be forwarded to you along with the appropriate enrolment documentation.

Gender Balance – VCAT Application

Balcombe Grammar School (the School), has applied to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) for exemption from the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic) (the Act) to allow it to:

  1. Structure waiting and enrolment lists to target prospective students of any sex or gender identity;

  3. Offer enrolments targeted at specific sex or gender identity; and
  4. Advertise specifically for students of a certain sex or gender identity to enter the School at any year level where there is an imbalance in the sex or gender representation amongst students so as to continue to promote, establish and maintain a true sex or gender balance of students across the entire School.

If you would like to make a submission to VCAT and the School either for or against the application you must send it by email to humanrights@courts.vic.gov.au and k.beagley@csv.vic.edu.au by 8 February 2025.
