At the end of Term 2, we welcomed guest chefs Oliver Fulljames from Peninsula Hot Springs, Loic Duchett from French bistro/café Portsea and Briggite Hafner from Tedesca Osteria Red Hill, to provide guidance and help judge our House Teen Chef competition.
Based on the theme – nostalgic with a modern twist, students were challenged to create both a main course and a dessert. They produced a variety of ambitious dishes, including shepherd’s pie, carrot cake, Biscoff lamington, Mexican-inspired parmigiana, deconstructed lemon meringue pie, confit byaldi, and rosemary potato focaccia.
All students embraced the opportunity to showcase their skills and passion for food. We congratulate Louie Byrne, Noah Finn, Iris Bocksor and Zara Dean, who will represent the school at the SIS Teen Chef competition in Term 3.
